Administration frequently asked questions

No practical limit — one per integration is the recommended practice. See API keys and access media.

What happens if my role changes after I create a personal key?

Section titled “What happens if my role changes after I create a personal key?”

Nothing automatic: the key keeps the permissions of your old role. Revoke it and create a new one if you want it to reflect your current role.

Can I recover a key I lost without having copied it?

Section titled “Can I recover a key I lost without having copied it?”

No. It’s shown in full only once. Revoke it and create a new one.

Can I widen a key’s cut-down after creating it?

Section titled “Can I widen a key’s cut-down after creating it?”

No. Its cut-down, like the rest of its permissions, is sealed the moment it’s created — revoke it and create a new one with the areas you need.

Do I need to cut down my team’s permissions before I can start using the Platform?

Section titled “Do I need to cut down my team’s permissions before I can start using the Platform?”

No. The defaults are already safe and work with nothing touched — “Agent control” is a fine-tuning screen, not a required setup step. See Agent control: resources and permissions.

Can I leave a team member with no access to a specific area?

Section titled “Can I leave a team member with no access to a specific area?”

Yes — unchecking every box in a section is a valid option, for example to fully block someone from using API keys without touching what they can do elsewhere on the web.

Only the Administrator role — Editor and Viewer don’t have it in the Settings menu. See Billing and plans.
