By connecting MailChimp, your agent can sync contacts from your conversations with your MailChimp account’s audiences and, if you also connect your Mandrill key, trigger transactional emails automatically when something relevant happens — for example, when a lead is captured or an appointment is confirmed —, as well as gaining tools to look up and update contacts while chatting.
This integration activates two independent surfaces, explained in detail in sections 5 and 7:
- Two panel actions (section 5) — things that happen in the background when something occurs on your Platform: a new lead, an event with an associated template.
- Four AI agent tools (section 7) — operations the agent can invoke on its own during a conversation (search, look up or create/update a contact, look up tags).
Both surfaces are born off until you turn them on — nothing syncs and no email is sent until you decide so.
