- Don’t duplicate the snippet. There must be a single widget
<script> per page. If you migrate from
one installation method to another (for example, from editing the theme to using a code plugin), remove
the old one first — two copies open two overlapping bubbles.
- One widget per page. Insert it in the global template or layout (shared footer or header), not on
every page or every component separately.
- Performance. The script loads asynchronously: it never blocks the rest of your site from loading or
hurts your speed metrics. You don’t need to defer it manually or load it on a scroll or click event.
- Updates without touching anything. The snippet points to a stable version of the widget; future
improvements arrive on their own. You only need to touch something again if you change configuration
(color, greeting, allowed domains) from the platform.
