The Platform periodically checks that every server in the catalog is still responding and is still the
same service it always was. If a server stops responding across two checks in a row, or responds but as
an identity different from the one it had the first time it was verified, that template is temporarily
pulled from the catalog and **your connection to it becomes "degraded"**:

- **All** the tools you had active get turned off at once — the agent loses the ability to use them
  immediately.
- You get a notice, by bell and by email, that the service is no longer available.
- That template's card stops offering new connections until your provider reviews it.

> If the service recovers, your connection is restored with exactly the same tools you had active before
> the incident — never all of them by default — and you get a second notice confirming it. You don't
> need to do anything on your end: there's no button to force the check yourself, just wait for the
> notice.
