With the tools activated (section 5), your agent can look up and update contacts in Brevo while chatting. A real conversation example:

> **Note — Example — not duplicating a contact**
>
> A customer writes in giving their email. The agent uses "Search contacts" to see if a contact with that email already exists in Brevo; if it exists, it uses "Look up a contact's data" to see its current attributes before deciding whether it needs updating — it never duplicates an existing contact.

Brevo doesn't have its own piece in the **flow builder** today (unlike pieces such as "Email (read)", Manual 61): its tools are available to any agent with access, within a normal conversation, not as a step in a multi-step flow.

> **Warning — The agent respects Brevo's limits for you**
>
> Brevo limits how many requests it can receive per second. If that limit is ever reached, the agent tells the customer to try again in a moment — it never shows a technical error or leaves the conversation unanswered.
